Things about what I do
I make. Simple really.
Whether that’s music, jewellery, textile thingummyjigs, lovely cookies or whatever… I make.
Jewellery is my main bag, and I make it from all sorts – sterling silver, copper, semi-precious stones, glass (whether made myself or acquired through my love of shopping for pretty pretty lampwork), found things, old books, paper, resin, clay, recycled jumpers, kimono silk…you name it I’ll be trying to find a way in with it. This’ll come to light through the folksy and etsy shops over the next however long.
I sing – Ian and I (as Rachel & The Lawn Grower) make acoustic music that’s mucho chilled…
I’m also a mother of two and trying to fit everything else around them and my job is…. a challenge to say the least. But a challenge that gajillions of us face every day so I don’t moan about it; it is of my own making after all
So yuppers, my ramblings will be contained herein; it may be to do with the jewellery, the music, being a parent, trying to find extra hours in the day, lovely stuff I’ve come across, fab people I’ve met, and generally trying to be as happy as possible.
Here goes….
